FOUNDATION PARTY Japan National Day Edition
KAMIÉLLE TOKYO x Arata Nakatsuji
Let's make celebrating the nation's founding a freer,
more beautiful culture.
A night to celebrate Japan's story, continuing since 660 BC.
In Japan, the act of "celebrating the nation" has somehow become intertwined with politics and ideology, making it a somewhat cautious topic. However, fundamentally, cherishing one's roots is not about excluding anyone, nor is it about asserting any particular viewpoint.
Like America's Independence Day or other countries' National Days, Japan deserves a culture where we can celebrate **pride and joy more lightly**. This National Foundation Day evening is a **quiet attempt to start such a new culture from Tokyo**.
From Toranomon EDITION.
We simply love our roots —no matter where you stand, right or left,no matter your nationality or religion.
A new form of celebration begins from this place. We bring you a special evening, shared through sensibility, set at The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon, a luxury hotel representative of Tokyo. It is an endeavor to express the pure feeling of simply loving one's roots, transcending borders and ideologies, within a sophisticated space.
Foundation Day as an Innovation
Enjoy as Culture
A new approach to beautifully enjoy, not loudly declare or assert
World-Standard Celebration
A global standard for celebrating National Day as fashion and social event
Share through Sensibility
The first step towards Japan's Foundation Day becoming a day shared through sensibility
In Japan, the culture of "celebrating the founding of the nation" is still rare. This night is a groundbreaking attempt to redefine Foundation Day as a cultural innovation, expressing and sharing it with aesthetic sensibility. Not as ideology, but as aesthetics. Not as assertion, but as celebration. We will transmit these new values from Tokyo.

At the intersection of these two visions, we celebrate Japan's important Foundation Day in a new way. As culture, not ideology. As aesthetics, not assertion. This is our proposal for a new form of celebration.
May Japan continue to be a country loved by many, cherished, and quietly proud.
May this evening become a special memory for you, and a time when you can feel the beginning of a new culture. Let's meet in Toranomon on February 11, 2026.
